Our board members brings the expertise and energy needed to support our digital intelligence projects. Its members come from various fields such as management and digital technology, and they are also highly active in the virtual world and entertainment industry. Get to know them.

Julien Bouvrais, an expert in video game technologies, is the Vice President of R&D Tech at The Believer Company. With 25 years of experience, including leadership roles at Eidos, he has contributed to the development of major franchises such as Deus Ex and Tomb Raider. His expertise in AI, machine learning, and graphics rendering, as well as his ability to forge industry-academia partnerships, are valuable assets in guiding CDRIN in its mission to innovate in digital intelligence.

Anne Gibeault brings over 20 years of experience in the video game industry, having worked in various roles including 3D Animator, Project Manager, Producer, Co-Founder and Studio Executive, and in recent years, Creative Director. Anne also teaches prototyping at NAD and is an accomplished speaker.

In recent years, she has been exploring new technologies and how artificial intelligence can support and accelerate production and creative processes.

Steve Coll, a passionate advocate for entrepreneurship and economic development, serves as the Business Advisor at the SADC of the Matane Region. He is responsible for L’ALT Numérique Desjardins. His experience and consulting skills are a significant asset in the creation of new technology enterprises in the region.

Hobivola is currently a Research and Planning Officer at the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Creation, and Innovation at Université Laval, where he develops and implements new tools, processes, and frameworks to support research, and advises research teams and the institution on managing research risks. Before working at Laval University, Hobivola was Director of Strategy and Partnerships at BI Expertise for 5 years, where he established and developed collaborative research and innovation activities in artificial intelligence.

Hobivola has been a member of the CDRIN Board of Directors since 2020. He has over 15 years of experience on boards or executive committees, where he shares his expertise in strategy and governance, geopolitics, and research and innovation.

With a hybrid profile that combines academic research and entrepreneurship, Arnaud Barré is well aware of the challenges that organizations may face and how CDRIN can assist in addressing them. He is dedicated to developing innovative solutions in the field of movement science, which, in the long run, will help both individuals and organizations ensure their autonomy for starting or returning to active life.

Kim Berthiaume has over 15 years of experience in multimedia, including ten years in creative direction. Passionate about cinema, new media, and technology, she is an expert in storytelling, game design, UX, and UI. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Interactive Media and a diploma in Game Design from the University of Montreal, where she also teaches video game development. Co-founder of the Affordance Studio, she is committed to creating games that aim to change the world. Active in groups such as a.i.l.e.s and Technochic, she has served on several boards, including Xn Québec and Indie Asylum. She is constantly seeking new ways to innovate and create in the fields of design, art, and video games.

Co-Founder and Creative Director, Affordance Studio

Claude Côté, Director of Innovation at CRIBIQ since September 2022, holds a degree in public and organizational communication from Université Laval. He has also studied for a master’s degree in regional development at Université du Québec à Rimouski. He has expertise in public government communication, environment, regional economic development, and the development of marine resources, sciences, and technologies. With over forty years of experience, he has contributed to the creation of the entre de recherche sur les milieux insulaires et maritimes in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine and the establishment of Parc National du Lac-Témiscouata.

Nicolas Gareau has been active for over 25 years in the field of interactive digital production. He has worked on numerous projects as a sound designer, including with Disney, and has taught at the college level for 15 years. Since 2017, he has overseen various college programs related to the digital ecosystem, including serving as the coordinator of the Campus ADN since 2022. His combined experience in production and education strengthens his expertise in managing digital-related academic programs

Anne Le Bouyonnec is a producer in visual effects, video games, and digital creation with over 25 years of experience. As a Project Director at SYNTHÈSE, she conducts research on the fields of digital creativity and emerging trends in video game, visual effects, and immersive experience professions. Anne has led teams of 2D/3D artists and programmers, contributing to numerous film, video game, and digital exhibition productions. She has also been a lecturer in digital production management at UQAC and Laval University since 2012.

A pioneer in the Canadian interactive entertainment industry, experienced manager and entrepreneur, Pierre Moisan has served as Vice President at Megatoon (Behavior), Founder and President of ArtMedia Studios, and Producer at Ubisoft. He has an extensive network of contacts and delivers lectures worldwide.

Hélène Gasc, Director of Studies at Cégep de Matane, brings nearly 30 years of experience in education, having taught at all levels and held management positions in both France and Quebec. She holds two master’s degrees, one in Public Organization Administration and the other in Discipline Didactics, as well as a certificate in Teacher Training. Ms. Gasc has also led university training and research at the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) in Montreal. Her diverse background underscores her commitment to educational excellence and her ability to lead pedagogical teams effectively.
